Collaboration

Today’s daily post topic is collaboration. Team watersports definitely require collaboration. 

While we were in Jamaica, we decided to practice teamwork and venture out into the Caribbean Sea on a 4 person pedal boat. 

We had a blast but it definitely took some collaboration. It only took one person to stop pedaling and the rest of us had to work harder to make any progress against the waves of the Caribbean Sea. 

After the 4 person pedal boat adventure, we decided to have a canoe race. 

That also took some collaboration with our teammate in the canoe. Collaboration makes adventure and winning a lot easier ….and a lot more fun. 

I’m a fan of collaboration and Jamaica.

Hospitality and One Love

When I think of hospitality, I think of Jamaica. The staff at Jewel Runaway Bay were some of the most welcoming folks I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting.

Every day upon returning to our room, we always had the most creative works of art waiting for us. Who would’ve thought of towels as works of art? I love that even the most simple of things…like clean towels…were displayed in ways that required someone to “go the extra mile.” We stayed for a full 7 days and here are just a few of the creative designs that we found upon returning to our room. To me, hospitality is going the “extra mile” and paying attention to detail with the intention of making others feel welcome.

The housekeeping staff at Jewel Runaway Bay certainly understood the meaning of hospitality.

Even the food was displayed in creative ways….

There was no sparing hospitality at the pools or the beach either.

 

Whenever I think of “One Love”….I definitely think of hospitality. I’ll be back soon Jamaica.
