Collaboration

Today’s daily post topic is collaboration. Team watersports definitely require collaboration.

While we were in Jamaica, we decided to practice teamwork and venture out into the Caribbean Sea on a 4 person pedal boat.

We had a blast but it definitely took some collaboration. It only took one person to stop pedaling and the rest of us had to work harder to make any progress against the waves of the Caribbean Sea.

After the 4 person pedal boat adventure, we decided to have a canoe race.

That also took some collaboration with our teammate in the canoe. Collaboration makes adventure and winning a lot easier ….and a lot more fun.

I’m a fan of collaboration and Jamaica.

SOME moments you experience while travelling end up completely changing your life. The memories stay with you forever and years later a sight or sound will trigger that memory and take you right back to that moment once again. I found that just experiencing new places seems to promote self-development for me. Travelling and the new experiences that come with it, has been my most influential teacher. I have learned the most about myself while travelling. Typically most people do not change until they experience a life-changing event that moves them, shakes them up, and changes their perspective. For many people, including myself, it may be the death of a friend or family member. For others, it may be a life-threatening illness. However, if you really want to CHOOSE to change your life and perspective, you can choose to travel. This is one life-changing experience that you voluntarily undertake. You don't have to travel far, basically you just need to get off your couch and your phone and experience life. Make it a goal to regularly go some where that you have never visited. While you are there, BE PRESENT. Look around, take in the sights and sounds, take a few pictures but BE ALL THERE!! This blog is about my travels and experiences. I hope to inspire you to experience some of your own.
